It doesn’t sound like the biography of an adult actress.

Used rocket launchers and threw grenades in the US Army. Has scars on her knees from when she was just a skater chick who stuffed her bra. Has a degree in education from Southern Illinois University.

But for the 2007 Penthouse Pet of the Year, Heather Vandeven (also known as Heather Vuur), the past 28 years of her life has just been a lead-up to now.

The Making of Heather

Heather was born in Hollywood, California, where she used to get criticized for her athletic figure. She explains:

“I remember in junior high and parts of high school, girls were like, 'Maybe you were just meant to be a boy. Maybe that's why you're totally flat-chested and you can do ten pull-ups and run the mile in seven minutes.' I was devastated.”

Then, she graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Army, seeking adventure. She remembers:

“I trained with men in basic training. I learned how to use rocket launches, how to throw grenades, machine guns, hand to hand combat.”

She wouldn’t have ever tried nude modeling, except that one of the staff at Penthouse saw her picture on a friend’s computer.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Heather’s Many Talents

Heather is a lass with a taste for adventure. Persian Kitty tells us that “she has designed jewelry in China, been a tree top canopy guide in Costa Rica, and traveled around Europe.”

But what’s most important to her is being “sound in body, mind and spirit.” Heather does yoga, eats well, and dreams of living in nature.

She finds that her career as a nude model and adult actress makes relationships with men challenging. Oh well, she sighs: “If no man will accept me, I'll just have lots of cats.”

Heather is so comfortable with what she does that, when she became a Penthouse Pet, she showed her grandmother her centerfold. Her grandmother loved it.

Soon after winning the Penthouse Pet of the Year competition (helped along, no doubt, by her appearance on the Howard Stern show, where she sang a ditty she composed herself, titled “Sexy Pony”), Heather caught the eye of Michael Ninn.

She became a Ninn Worx contract girl, and her very first film, “Meet Heather,” was released in 2007 as an all-girl feast of erotic pleasure.

Just one look at the promo she did in her new role as adult star shows just how much we have to look forward from her.
